Our Story

When you talk to people who have dedicated themselves to something larger than themselves, you hear amazing stories. And the stories were not just about the emergency calls but also about the things that happened between the calls.

We learned about the training nights that kept their skills sharp. The fundraising events needed to keep the fire station running. The fire safety and prevention programs that protected families before an emergency ever happened. The inspections, maintenance, paperwork, planning, and countless hours of preparation that most people never see.

Those conversations shaped FireQ. What began as a reliable way to receive emergency alerts evolved into something much much more because firefighters took us by the hand and led us through what it really means to be a firefighter.

Then, the coolest thing happened. Firefighters shared FireQ beyond the walls of the fire hall.

More than 80% of the firefighters that protect Canada hold other full-time jobs. Those firefighters took their FireQ experience to their workplace. They trusted what we built together and they introduced us to people who needed the same reliability in places beyond the fire service.

Those introductions became new conversations which led to new relationships being built. Those relationships led to CareQ and EMQ. And they reinforced something we've believed ever since: when you build with your customers instead of simply building for them, that's when the stars and moon begin to align.

The tech we build today is built in partnership with the exact people who use that tech. And every product can be traced back to a conversation with someone who serves their community. We started by listening to firefighters, and we're gonna keep on listening.
