How SarQ Helps with search and rescue communications and SAR management
For the first time, software solutions for search and rescue teams are being created with the input of search & rescue personnel
This collaboration is reflected in a solution that recognizes the needs of search and rescue teams when they are responding to an emergency and the needs of the SAR managers tasked with managing the search and rescue team.
Ground search and rescue personnel are not often thought of as first responders; yet, they are highly trained personnel with skills that match those of firefighters, police officers and paramedics. They dedicate their time and their expertise to searching for the lost and missing; identification and collection of evidence; and, public education about outdoor safety.
The SarQ search and rescue software provides search and rescue technology and tools to GSAR personnel before, during and after an emergency. Before an emergency, they work and train to remain in a constant state of readiness; during an emergency, they respond to any situation for which they are needed; and, after an emergency they review, and they analyze to improve their readiness for the next emergency.
After 30+ years of working as a volunteer firefighter and assisting with countless SAR operations, I knew there must be a better way to help SAR teams be better prepared before, during, and after a rescue operation.

SarQ Helps You
Prepare
SAR personnel work hard to always be ready. They use the SarQ search and rescue software to dispatch large and small groups of personnel, know the availability of personnel, and then prepare communication protocols in advance. Preparation keeps them ready to serve their communities and helps to keep them safe.

SarQ Helps You
Respond
With SarQ, SAR managers have complete control of search and rescue communications. They can send an emergency alert message to all personnel as a text, email and voice call, which staff can reply to by merely typing yes or no to indicate their ability to provide emergency support. SarQ sends, receives and records all messages and responses, avoiding unnecessary back and forth communications allowing both management and emergency personnel to focus on the task at hand.

SarQ Helps You
Evaluate
The SarQ search and rescue management software reduces administrative burden with the ability to generate reporting documents quickly. SAR team managers can use the data generated by SarQ to evaluate what went well and how they can improve in the event of future emergencies.
