Responders on the Map
Responders-on-the-map (ROM) is one of the response features of the FireQ fire department software. It shows firefighter locations on the incident map, supporting safety and accountability. Firefighters and their movements appear on the map ONLY during a live incident; and, ONLY AFTER they have signaled their intent to respond. Firefighters can choose when they appear on the map or the can choose to opt out entirely.

Because firefighter privacy is important, firefighters can choose if and when they appear on the map.
ROM can be enabled or disabled by the firefighter.
They can also choose when they show up on the incident map.
They can choose to show immediately, when they are 2km from the fire station, or when they arrive at the fire station.

FireQ administrators can also choose who in the fire department will be able to see the location of firefighters on the map. For many fire departments, the ability to see firefighter locations on a map is restricted to Incident Commanders.
